We guarantee that we will not violate your privacy. For your convenience we created this Privacy Policy in the form of questions and answers:
What type of information do we collect and why do we need it?
If you apply as a participating student we ask you to provide:
- Your e-mail address
- Your real name
- Your gender
- Your date of birth
- Your country
- Your school*
- Your current academic level*
- Your major*
- Your real photo
- Your Student ID*
* If you are a high school student graduating this semester then items 6, 7, 8 and 10 are not applicable.
We need all of this information to:
- Be able to communicate with you, and notify you if you are the winner
- Be able to verify that you are a real student, not a fake
- Enhance your profile and add a personal touch to it
If you want to register as a registered user we ask you to provide your email address. As a registered user you are given the ability to leave comments and testimonial on students' profiles. We need your e-mail
If you want to donate money as a company and want to get into our sponsor list we ask you to provide:
- Your company name, as you want it to be shown on the site
- Your website URL
- Description of your company, services it provides and/or goods it sells
- 0-5 keywords that relate to your company and/or company's website
- Your e-mail address
Note that all of the above is optional and you may choose to stay an "anonymous sponsor"
If you want to donate money as an individual we ask you to provide your name and your e-mail address. Again, this information is optional.
Do you collect any credit card information?
No. All the donations go through PayPal secure servers and we are not collecting your payment information - they do.
Do you share my information with other companies?
No. We do not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or companies.
Can I take my profile off the system?
Yes, once you are logged in, you can take yourself out.
What other information do you collect?
We register your votes and we log your IP address. In case we find some IP address abusing our voting system (i.e. automated voting, scripts, etc) we reserve the right to block such IP.
Do you use Cookies?
HelpAStudent.com, like many other websites, sets cookies on your computer to help enhance your experience on this site. Cookies are small bits of text to help track your settings as you browse from page to page.

If you are a participating student, the only e-mails from us you will receive is news and updates related to our site and/or your profile. You can always remove your profile from our site, and you will not receive any e-mails from us.
